Our core values

2018

Maxwell Financial
  • It started when Jordan, our founder, and President, received his first loan repayment notice and didn’t know what to do or where to get help.
  • We founded Maxwell Financial and won a $105K fintech grant from DECA and the Small Business Administration.

2019

Getting Started
  • Maxwell Financial grew our following and began work on the Maxwell Financial app.
  • By the end of the year, the app was live and had 30,000+ downloads in three months. However, we didn’t think it was good enough…

2020

StudentFi
  • So we decided to pause the app and focus on a website. We interviewed dozens of students, parents, financial professionals, and college admissions folks to design the ultimate website for navigating the financial side of higher ed.
  • We rebranded as StudentFi and established over a dozen partnerships with the best financial services companies and community / edu organizations.
  • StudentFi.org went live in August of 2020.
  • To be continued…
